BAYTOWN BOOM SEND PLAYERS TO CHINA FOR PRO JOBS
April 22. 2024 -- Houston, Texas USA -- As the Spring and Summer league opportunities open up around the world, four Baytown Boom players were sent to China for 30 game summer contracts starting Aprll 28, 2024.
The four Baytown Boom players receiving contracts are
Forward Nicholas Jones (205cm 96KG -( Houston Baptist University) - a strong versatile player that can play multiple positions. Quick, Smart, athletic. Fast rim runner with good hands and plays solid defense.
Guard Vincent Jackson, Jr ( 194cm 83KG - (TBL Pro League) - crafty true 2 guard that is a consistent 3 point threat. Unlimited three point range. good ball handler, can create his own shot when necessary, has a mid range game that you can trust. a natural scorer that is willing to pass the ball and make plays for the team
Guard Joshua Young ( 195cm - 80 KG - (Coastal Community College) - a key contributor to the Baytown Boom, recording 2 triple doubles and 9 double doubles. athletic, high flying 2 guard that can shoot 3's , craft moves to the basket, catch alley oops, and block shots. Slim framed to get through tigh areas. 81% FT shooter
Guard Jalen Patterson ( 181cm - 82KG -( Baker University) - model of consistency at the PG position. A coach on the floor than can manage the team and understands all 5 positions on the floor. Good assist/turnover ratio. Strong body, solid ball handler, good full court defender. Motor of the team.
The Baytown Boom players are all managed by TGBTG Sports Group, a management group which has been arranging teams and pro players to China since July 2000. The Boom players arrived in China early April 24 and will adjust to time zone difference while preparing for upcoming games.

The Baytown Boom will continue to send players to China through out the summer 2024 for various summer activities, and participate in the four nations tour in China bringing a team from the USA on September 10-30, 2024
