KASE CARRERA
"This is Kase Carrera, a 5'10" Point guard who won state championships and high school while playing at Westbury Christian. He went on to play four years of college basketball at Florida Memorial University. He has been an excellent addition to the Baytown Boom team during the inaugural season.
Carrera's family is of Greek origin , and he is in the process of receiving his Greek passport that will allow him to play as a Euro citizen in the professional league abroad. Enjoy these brief highlights from his first season with the team"

CLIFF GUIDRY III
This is the player Cliffic Guidry III. He is a 5’10” point guard who played his high school ball at the St Johns school in Houston Texas. Guidry played college basketball at Langston University before transferring and completing his biology degree at Prairie View A&M university.
This is his first year on the Baytown Boom basketball team, and he has been an exciting scorer with 3 -30 point Games, and 1- 40 point game. He has been an outstanding three point shooter that has ignited the team with his quickness. Guidry is preparing to go to medical school to study to become a doctor at Howard university in Washington DC, sets to start school in July 2023. “

BOOM HEADED TO THE PLAYOFFS
The Baytown Boom team worked to get in playoff form, as they will participate in their first ABA playoff series beginning March 11.
The expansion team struggled to find regular season wins, finishing the regular season with a 5-11 win loss record. The hard fought games usually ended with four or five point deficits
The Baytown Boom team showed resilience and a strong sense of togetherness. The core group of players stuck together throughout the season, grew stronger with each lesson from each practice and game.
The team coach Ayana Byrd exhibited tremendous leadership and showed everyone why she is a World champion. Her basketball knowledge , communication skills, And commitment to being a person of integrity made a lasting impact on the team, and definitely positioned Coach Byrd for future opportunities in professional sports

BAYTOWN BOOM TO PLAY AT AT&T CENTER SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
The Baytown Boom basketball team will travel to San Antonio to play the hosting Texas Red Wolves on December 26 at 12 noon.
The game will be held at the AT&T Center, the venue where the NBA's San Antonio Spurs play their home games. The Spurs will tip off later that night against the Utah jazz at 7 PM
This is a special promotional event, for $25, fans will get a ticket to both the Baytown game at noon and the NBA San Antonio Spurs game at 7 PM.
"We are thrilled to give our players opportunity to play in the NBA styled arena," said Cyril White, Baytown Boom general manager. "That is what the ABA experience is all about for us, to give our players a real professional experience and continue helping them live out their dreams.
" The Baytown Boom are currently 2-4 on the season, losing the last 3 games by four points each time.
"Yes, we love that we have been close in games, we are a young team that is growing," White said. "These type of growth opportunities build character in individuals and teams, and we are excited for the young men".

BAYTOWN BOOM SIGNS EX CBA PLAYER FOR TWO GAMES
The Baytown boom continues to leverage their international reach by signing a former player from the Chinese basketball Association.
Bai Saiyuan, a native of Nanjing city, Jiangsu province in China, Has signed to play two games with the Baytown ABA team. Bai Started as a translator working with foreign players in the CBA, and worked his way on to a reserve spot on a team in China's Premier basketball league.
Bai's career in China has been highlighted by starting 5 games, and playing along side of several high-level NBA players who during his time in China. He has played for the Nanjing Dragons and worked with several NBA Players and teams doing basketball demonstrations for basketball students all around China.
"I'm thrilled to have him sign with our team, and so glad that I met him in Beijing when I did," said Cyril White, team general manager. "Bai is So talented and so skillful, and I have no doubt he will do very well in the two games that he will play with us".
Bai Will arrive in Houston on December 8 for a practice with the team on December 9, and then to play versus the Austin bats on December 10, and the Universal City seraphim on December 11 with both games being in Texas City.
BAYTOWN BOOM GETS FIRST HOME VICTORY - November 12, 2022
The Baytown Boom got their first home victory with a score of 148 to 132 over the Texas Red Wolves on November 12 at the World Gym Sports Center in Texas City.
The Baytown Boom is one of the newest expansion teams in the ABA for this season, and got off to a good start by closing out and exciting basketball game.
The BOOM was led by first year professional player Joshua Young, who posted a triple double with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Young showed great poise and leadership To go along with his versatile floor game to be a key contributor in the match.
“I just focused on playing hard, and may the next available play,” said Young. “This is a great opportunity playing in the ABA, And I want to give it my best every time we play a game.
”Rashaun Was also a key component for the team, leading the Boom with 32 points and adding six assist of his own for the game. A veteran ABA player who comes from Ohio, He was a threat to score all night long, and gave the team a confident go to guy when needed.
Baytown Boom Team owner Orien Greene was pleased with his teams performance. “I’m very glad to see the team get off to a good start, “said OrienGreene. “It was a very exciting game, the crowd was pleased, and I hope that we can grow our audience in the community.
”The 2-1 Boom will travel to play Universal City on November 20.

The Baytown Boom made their decision to sign some of the BEST talent in the United States. Baytown Boom has strengthen there front court and back court with the signing of multiple players Nationwide.

The Baytown Boom made their first official signing a high flying shooting guard, Jordan Jackson, from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley....
Jackson, 6'2 shooting guard, Was a star player at UTRGV, where he was an instant highlight with his high flying electric dunks. The high tempo, upbeat scorer Was able to parlay his collegiate career and play professionally in Portugal before the Covid interruptions.
Jordan Jackson is the son of WNBA superstar Sheryl Swoopes. Team owner Orien Greene believes his genetic Pedigree and exposure to professional basketball will be a key asset to the Baytown Boom team.
"We are glad to sign Jordan Jackson, and we know he will add value to what we are doing with the Boom," said Greene. "We know he has learned a lot from just being around his mom, and he is a tremendous Athlete so we are looking forward to what he can do."
Jordan Jackson plans to play the 16 games with the Baytown Boom a be a team this season, although there are some other overseas opportunities pending that he will pursue.
"The Baytown boom is a great opportunity for me to have some structure well I keep myself ready for higher paying professional opportunities," said Jackson. "The team owner and management have been very realistic about what to expect, and they have been very supportive of my pursuit of other opportunities. I think this is a perfect fit for where I am in my career right now."

Participate in Local Golf Tournament
The Baytown Boom, the newest expansion team in the ABA, participated in the fundraising golf tournament event for Judge Joe Stephens. Judge Joe Stephens is justice of the peace in precinct one position one in Texas.
Judge Joe Stephens is a product of the north side of Houston Texas, and play basketball for the Houston Rockets in the NBA. Since retiring from the NBA, he started a successful real estate company, on his own Farmers insurance Franchise, before becoming justice of the peace.
Baytown boom owner Orion green and boom general manager Cyril White attended the tournament, supporting the justice of the peace.. Judge Stevens is an avid supporter of sports, And will serve as a Development advisor for the Baytown Boom ABA team.
"I'm glad to get out and connect with Joe Stephens, and the Baytown Boom will continue to support him, "said Baytown Boom team owner OrienGreene. "Golf is a great way to connect with the community, and we will continue to be involved in as many ways as we can".

The Baytown Boom players are all managed by TGBTG Sports Group, a management group which has been arranging teams and pro players to China since July 2000. The Boom players arrived in China early April 24 and will adjust to time zone difference while preparing for upcoming games.
"It's a blessing to use our ABA platform to work with some guys that want to pursue their basketball careers in China," said Cyril White, director of TGBTG Sports and majority shareholder of Baytown Boom. "We are glad to provide these entry level opportunities for guys that may need to start at this level. We are always looking to evaluate talent and see where it could lead."
The Baytown Boom will continue to send players to China through out the summer 2024 for various summer activities, and participate in the four nations tour in China bringing a team from the USA on September 10-30, 2024
