ABOUT US
The Baytown Boom Professional basketball Franchise was established in 2022 and connection with the UNITY THROUGH SPORTS FOUNDATION, A 501 C3 nonprofit group established in the memory of the late George Floyd.
The Baytown Boom Will play in the ABA, or the American basketball Association, a professional development minor league for aspiring athletes.
The goal of the Baytown Boom team is to be an extension of the athletic legacy and outreach of the late George Floyd, who was a semi professional basketball player with TGBTG Sports in 1998-1999.
The Boom Will prepare high-level athletes for professional opportunities in the NBA G league, overseas FIBA sanctioned professional leagues, And other paying opportunities for qualified athletes
MISSION STATEMENT
The Baytown Boom Will be active in the community, encouraging young kids to read and have a high literacy rate, stay in shape and remain active to reduce obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure, and other positive impact initiatives on the surrounding communities.
The Baytown Boom Will look to partner with local businesses and companies, offer free and discounted tickets to groups, and find ways to use sports to unite the community
The Baytown Boom ABA franchise in connection with UNITY THROUGH SPORTS FOUNDATION will work with Aspiring young professionals in the community to offer internships and an opportunity for professional experience through working with our organization.
